Young people represent the future, as of
Croatia, so as of a united Europe. This is precisely why young
people are one of the main target groups towards which the MFAEI
directs its efforts and activities. The involvement of young people
in the European integration processes, i.e. the development of
already established frames of involvement, is extremely important in
connecting Croatia with the EU. In doing so it is particularly
important for the MFAEI to establish a partner-based relationship with
young people as a relevant social group with a view to creating a
positive atmosphere within which mutual communication will evolve.
Accordingly, the MFAEI has developed a wide range of various
activities with regard to young people:
-
Granting scholarships for post-graduate courses abroad
- Supporting associations of young people in Croatia dealing with
European integration
- Organising winter and summer schools of European integration for
students from Croatian universities
- Introducing young people to the .EU and to the opportunities that
it offers for their development and advanced training
- Supporting Croatian young people in establishing contacts with
their peers and other associations of the young in member states
- Supporting the participation of Croatian youth in EU programmes
- Participation of MFAEI employees as lecturers at forums and
conferences organised by associations of young people
- Organising training activities with the purpose of acquiring knowledge
in the field of European integration (EUQUIZ)
and promoting the use of new technologies (MVPEI:
